Ja! Davon war ich genervt. Deshalb habe ich auf meinem iBook G4 eine Pivot Software installiert und den Display um 180° gedreht. Dann habe ich das iBook mit 3 Klammern unter dem überstehenden Bord über meinem Bett befestigt. Als sehr günstig beim iBook erwies sich vorne das Loch für die Schließklammer. Die dort einhakende Halteklammer verhindert nämlich das verrutschen des iBooks.

mac :: pivot/desktop rotation for my ibook G4 12″

As i like to rotate my desktop on my ibook i was looking for a pivot software. I read something about a trick to get this feature in the system panel (option key+mouse click on display), but that doesn’t work for me. So i tried the new ATI Driver for my ATI 9200 Mobile card. And that’s it. This new driver has the ability to rotate my screen.

Nachdem ich heute meine ca 2500 Photos â 2MB in iPhoto geladen habe, war iPhoto nicht mehr zu benutzen. Jeder Wechsel und jede Aktion dauern jetzt mindestens 1 Minute. Da wurde wohl bei Apple ein wenig unsauber programmiert. Anders als mit einer schlecht konstruierten Datenbank und verfehltem Precaching kann ich mir das nicht erklären.

mac :: use an extended ibook desktop

On a new ibook your output to either your tv and your vga output are syncronized to the ibook monitor. That can be improved! have a look at:Screen Spanning Doctor

maybe there are some more. i installed gimp previous to gpsdrive. this might be a hint. please tell me if i lost one.

because gpsdrive is looking for gcc3.x and tiger is providing gcc4.0 compatibility you need to change in configure line 20858 to

then you can ./configure && make

if you just upgraded to tiger make sure you have installed the new DevUtils with gcc4.0
